Pastor Alan has been serving our church since May 2012, and is entrusted with leading the people of MBC and their staff in spiritual growth, developing disciples and engaging our community. His heart’s desire is that everyone centers their lives on Jesus. Alan grew up in a military family and spent part of his childhood in Hawaii before graduating from Wheaton College with a degree in Biology and minor in Bible and Theology. He later began a decade-long career in medical research while actively serving in ministry. On a mission trip in Africa, Alan received his pastoral calling, left the research field and transitioned to pastoral ministry. Alan received his Master of Divinity from Golden Gate Seminary, and is currently working on his Ph.D in New Testament Studies. In his spare time, he enjoys photography, hiking, traveling and getting to know others.
CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP DIRECTOR
Tony has been serving at MBC since the early 2000's. He helps lead contemporary worship because this genre has the potential to reach a younger audience for Jesus. Music has been an integral part of his life, growing up in a family where his mother was a soloist and a church choir director. Tony graduated from the University of Hawaii with a Sociology degree and then a Master's in Social Work. His love for music includes mentoring others to serve in worship ministry as an outlet for their creativity. He recently retired with almost forty years in civil service with the U.S. Army. In his spare time, Tony enjoys living life with his wife, Diane and children and grandchildren.
Lilly has been serving at MBP since August 2014. She helps with the management of Mililani Baptist Preschool as well as coordinating programs and teaching chapel. Lilly received an Administrative Management degree and a Master of Business Administration from Bob Jones University in South Carolina. She is married to her husband (Benjamin) of five years and enjoys hiking the island with him on the weekends. In her spare time, Lilly also enjoys baking, music and spending time with family and friends. She is actively involved with the church choir, and thinks you should be too!
Kassey has been serving at MBC since March 2018. She leads the youth group on Wednesday nights and is responsible for managing youth activities. Kassey has her Associates degrees in both Liberal Arts and Teaching. Currently she is working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministries. She was born and raised here on Oahu and loves this island and everyone on it. In her spare time, Kassey likes to sing and play her ukulele, and spend time with her family.
Melissa has been serving at MBC since February 2014. She is responsible for the administrative and financial functions of the church after having served with Mililani Baptist Preschool. She has a daughter, Shaelynn who loves to help during church events. One of Melissa’s favorite things about MBC are the people! Their genuine friendliness and care for one another reminds her to always live aloha. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with Shaelynn and friends.
Andrea has been serving at MBC since September 2017. She assists Melissa with administrative functions in the church office and also is responsible for managing Keiki Hale, our church nursery. Andrea has a B.B.A. degree in General Management. She is an Army wife, and has been married to her husband (Jacob) for eight years. She has two children, Carson and Charlotte, who can brighten up any room and love being surrounded by their church ohana. She is involved in several ministries within the church and has a heart for helping others. In her spare time, Andrea loves to drink coffee, hike, enjoy the beach with her family, craft, and enjoy the blessings that God has given her.
Carmel has been serving at MBP since March 2017. She is very excited about ministering to the families that come through the preschool doors and serving the community through MBP. Carmel received her B.A. degree in Studio Art and Art History. After college she served as a missionary in Botswana, Africa working with children and young adults. Later Carmel received her Master of Intercultural Studies from Union University, and her Master of Divinity from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in California where she also received her Early Childhood Education Administration Certificate. Carmel loves the diversity of the world that God created and has a deep passion and long history of working with children and families. In her spare time, Carmel loves to hike, watch movies, explore new places, meet different people, and spend time eating good food with friends!
